To this region, visitors  have the opportunity to visit national parks of Cuc Phuong (Ninh Binh), Ba Vi (Ha Noi), Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc), Cat Ba (Hai Phong), Bai Tu Long (Quang Ninh) with diversified ecosystems; hot mineral springs of Kenh Ga (Ninh Binh), Quang Hanh (Quang Ninh), Tien Lang (Hai Phong)...; amazing caves of Huong Son (Ha Noi), Van Trinh, Tam Coc - Bich Dong (Ninh Binh), Sung Sot, Thien Cung (Quang Ninh)... or famous beaches of Ti Top, Tra Co (Quang Ninh), Cat Ba, Do Son (Hai Phong), Quat Lam, Hai Thinh (Nam Dinh)...

Besides, the region preserves thousands of historical, cultural relics such as communal houses, temples, pagodas, typically One Pillar Pagoda, Tay Phuong Pagoda (Ha Noi), But Thap Pagoda, Do Temple (Bac Ninh), Keo Pagoda (Thai Binh), Co Le Pagoda (Nam Dinh), Bai Dinh Pagoda, the ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh)... The region is also the home of many traditional festivals such as Tran Temple Festival, Giong Festival, Lim Festival, Huong Pagoda Festival... and unique art forms of cheo, quan ho, van singing, tuong, water puppet...

WORLD HERITAGE

In particular, the region owns a lot of world heritage properties recognized by UNESCO including Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Central sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - Ha Noi, stone stele records of royal examinations of the Le and Mac dynasties, Giong festivals in Phu Dong and Soc temples (Ha Noi), Ca tru singing and Quan ho Bac Ninh, Trang An Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh), Practices related to the Viet beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms, tugging rituals and games.
